Charlie's Light
Programs Used: Premiere Pro
This was my first time experimenting with camera movements and angles in a long time. Although I was a little bit rusty with Premiere Pro, I had a lot of fun with this project. At the time when I was trying to come up with ideas for a video to edit with Premiere Pro, we were in a middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the rapidly increasing cases of COVID-19, I couldn't hang out with friends or my boyfriend as much. Combined with having a clown with a bad tan in the White House, I was feeling a lot of emotions. I was angry, confused, depressed, scared, and lonely. These emotions are what help me come up with idea that led to this video. So, I used what I have in my apartment at the time, since I didn't have the funds or access for video recording equipment. The main character of the video is a broken mannequinn that I named, Charlie. Charlie represents my self and the light in front of them is my state of mind. The colors of the light cycle through like my emotions did during those trying timee in this abstract video.
The music and sounds are from a royalty-free website called, Free Sounds Library. Below are the sounds I used for this video.
