Rosa "Sai" Salangsang

A young and curious kitsune was wandering around in the forest until trouble began to arise.

This video is part of a series called "Stories of Friends Made". To summarize, there are four open-ended stories about four characters who all desire some company. In this story, most of the content was made in Clip Studio Paint and then animated on After Effects. Just like in my "Mochi" video, the textbox dialogue was made by animating shape and text layers. For the storybook-esque style of this story, I was heavily inspired by Japanese folklore and Paper Mario. I intended to make it feel like a an introductory cutscene that we see when we launch a video game. In fact, I hope to turn the Kitsune's story into a video game one day.
