Mr. Sketchyman
Programs Used: Audacity and Photoshop
At the time, when I was in the process of making this art piece, I was looking at a lot of artworks made by Trevor Henderson. He's well-known for creating cryptids, like Siren-Head and Cartoon Cat. His works inspired me to create a cryptid of my own. So I made this guy based on the bad gesture drawings I've done back when I was in high school. The way I did this piece is first, I drew the character on a sketchbook with graphite pencil. Then, I took a picture of the drawing and made it transparent and added a few finishing touches with Photoshop. Next, I comined the photoshopped drawing with a photo of the front hallway of my dad's apartment, again with Photoshop. Finally, I took the resulting image and broke it apart with Audacity.
Mr. Sketchyman is sort of an anti-thesis to those scary urban legends we hear every now and then. He's a rather friendly guy who smells strongly of lead and eraser shavings. I had a a lot of fun makng this one. This piece was inspired by the cryptic artworks made by Trevor Henderson. I took two images and combined them into one with Photoshop. After that, I tore the image apart with Audacity, which resulted in the glitches you see
